Horse with arthritis. any suggestions?

my horse went through a fence about 10 years ago and she has been lame ever since but recently she has been sore in her back legs. She usually gets worse in cold weather which it has been quiet cold lately. I think she has arthritis the vet is coming out in a few days but is there anything i could do to help her until then? anything that will help ease her pain?
