How do i make people stop criticizing my boyfriend?

I'm sure you've all heard when a boy breaks up with a girl because everyone says she's not popular enough or pretty enough... that's exactly what they are doing with my boyfriend! And it is getting on my last nerve. Everyone says , "oh, well he's a wimp.. you should date ____" and they go through such desperate measures for me to go back out with my ex. I tell them you know, i'm happy with him. But they ignore it. It's really getting on my nerves! It's really bringing my popularity down too. I'm kind of ignoring it because I really care about him but seriously, this is really lame.
